hello, friend of mine bought a tusk that has etchings of 'the ship tempest' on it on three levels, and an eagle with e. pluribus unum. dated 1830, also new bedford etched on it. any ideas of what any of this means? gjah seems to be the intials of artist. any idea what era this is from? and how much would something like this is worth? thanks in advance for any help..
