To make an evaluation of Hamlet, one must first examine his actions in order to highlight the themes that are present. A main motif that exists throughout the play is the melancholy and confusion that Hamlet experiences. This is clear in his famous and well-known phrase of his soliloquy: “To be or not to be: that is the question.” And precisely –that is the question that he fights with- whether it is more righteous to fight for what he believes in or to endure with strength and valor. The inner struggle that Hamlet had can be easily noticed when he says: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer/ The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, / Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, / And by opposing end them?
: : Can anybody please help me translate Hamlets To Be Or Not To BE speech into modern English, eamil me if you can
: Specifically on the "Not to be" part, what does that mean? what significance does it have to the whole play?
