RELATIVISTIC TIME

The flow of time is something easy to take for granted. We go about our lives, living with the ping of time as a steady, unchanging, constant. Einstein changed the way we look at the universe with his theories. The effects on the flow of time in both general and special relativity deserve intensive study. There are some interesting consequences when we study the implications of time ping at a different rate relative to our own rate of flow of time here on Earth.

GENERAL RELATIVITY EFFECTS

In a gravitational field weaker than Earth's gravity at it's surface, time pes more rapidly there than it does here on Earth's surface, since gravity slows time down according to general relativity. The longer an object stays in the weak gravity, the more it would age relative to Earth, since it's time pes faster than ours. Considering this to be true, we could place a telescope looking back at Earth from such a point in space and wait for the difference in flow of time between Earth and the telescope to become offset enough for the telescope to see events on Earth that have not yet happened. Of course we would have to wait for the fixed length of time it takes light to get there, then the data of the images to come back, to be compensated for. The longer the telescope stays in a weaker gravitational field, the farther into the future it would see. It would only be a matter of time until we could see what happens in the future.
Let's consider that the amount of m in the universe is finite and the amount of space in the universe is infinite. Looking at things on a much larger scale, we could see all of the galaxies in the universe to be tiny specks that are tightly packed, then leaving the rest of the universe void, dark, and empty. As the distance from this cluster of galaxies increases, the gravitational field decreases. Since gravity has been found to slow down the flow of time, then as the effect of gravity is reduced by distance, the flow of time must increase. Now, lets consider an infinite distance away from any source of gravity, as the distance approaches infinity, so to must the rate of flow of time. As the rate of flow of time approaches infinity, all events will begin to occur simultaneously. Gravity simply lets us perceive one event after another on a time line, rather than seeing all events occur at once, if gravity slows time down.
If a million years from now is happening right now, then all the events leading up to that point should be unchangeable, with everything we do and every decision we make in our lives simply based on who we are and our past experiences. If gravity slows down time, then our destiny is fixed and unchangeable.
There are a few problems with the whole idea that two rates of flow of time can coexist in the same reality. How could we receive the data from the telescope, when according to us on Earth, in Earth's time frame, the data hasn't been sent yet? The point in time where the telescope receives the light and sends the data hasn't occurred yet in our reality. If we launch a new telescope to place right next to the old one after it has been there long enough for it's time to offset hours relative to ours, how could the two telescopes see light from different points in time? The light that the two telescopes gather would be the same distance from the light source, both telescopes would have the same view. Therefore it must be impossible for two rates of flow of time to coexist in the same reality. If Einstein was right at all about the flow of time in general relativity, our space telescopes are seeing the future but they are in a reality that is completely separated from ours. If it is possible for us to measure a difference in flow of time from being in a weaker gravitational field, for either a clock or a telescope, then we should be able to see the future with the telescope pointed at Earth since in order for us to measure the difference in time, the two rates of flow of time would have to exist in the same reality.

SPECIAL RELATIVITY EFFECTS

Now, lets consider an astronaut traveling half the speed of light relative to the Earth, according to the time dilation effects of special relativity, his time slows down compared to those of us at rest on the Earth. According to Einstein's postulates that the theory of special relativity is based on, the laws of physics are the same in all inertial reference frames. Looking at things from the astronaut's point of view, he himself is at rest in his own inertial reference frame while the Earth moves relative to him. Motion is only relative, it doesn't matter which inertial reference frame you happen to be in. When time dilation occurs due to the relative motion between two inertial reference frames, the laws of physics must be the same for both inertial reference frames. Both reference frames must measure the time dilation of the other.
The paradox of the astronaut's time slowed down relative to the Earth, and the Earth's time slowed down relative to the astronaut, can only be explained by the relative motion inducing an alternate reality. When the astronaut returns to Earth, all the people on the Earth will see that the astronaut hasn't aged as much as those he left behind and the astronaut would agree. However, from the astronaut's point of view, the Earth's time slowed down more than his, so he is then in an alternate reality where the people on Earth have aged less than he has.
Whenever one thing moves relative to another, even at slow speed, there is some time dilation. When there are two rates of flow of time it is impossible for them to coexist in the same reality. Thus any motion of anything at all induces an entirely new universe when it creates an alternate reality for the separate rate of flow of time.
Consider a stoplight at an intersection, as the light changes to yellow, the decision making time whether you can safely stop or not, is extremely short. The people at rest at the red light are in the same inertial reference frame as the timer for the light. The people at the red light (and the timer) p slightly slower through time than you do in your reality while you approach the light. To you, the light would take longer to change to red while you approach the light. According to the people waiting to go, your time pes more slowly than the light's timer. The people waiting to go could actually see you not have enough time to p through the intersection safely in their reality. The consequences of which intersection you stop at could completely change your reality.
Not only could all events be occurring simultaneously, but also all possibilities to every conceivable outcome could be occurring in alternate realities at the same time.
Most importantly, we need further testing of the flow of time in low gravity conditions to truly know for sure what the nature of time is. If we can measure time to p faster for a satellite, it could see things happen on Earth at a faster rate than we experience them; perhaps then there is a way of seeing the future.
