I own a 1987 Escort and it tends to burn or leak allot of oil. 10 quarts in two weeks. I never see oil on the ground where I park. I feel that when I drive about 50 miles on highways (70-75mph) I loose the most oil. Also possible related problem. When I "get on it" on the highway my RPMs jump and gives me a jolts of power. Other times (on and off highway) it will act like I am not touching the pedal when I apply the gas firmly. Where is my oil going, and where is my power going AND/OR where is it coming from?
