I am not a scientist and have very limited knowledge in Ecology. I would like to carry out a little experiment and I need some help.
I am looking to develop a mini-globe. A glas5 globe and in it (half filled with water, a floating pot of gras5 floating on the water and a candle sitting on the gras5). I remember I learned at school that these three elements provide the essential elements to keep each other going (Oxygen, CO2, etc) Sorry for my ignorance but I want to know if this makes sense and if it could work. Also, how big would you recommend the globe to be? How much water should be in it? How much gras5? How long will this little ecosystem be able to sustain it self for? Do you recommend I go about this in other ways? There must be no interference from outside once the globe is closed and I want it to last for as long as possible.
I hope you will be able to help me. If I am not clear I appreciate any questions so I can clarify my self.
