In the depths of my journey I encountered the truth.
I was never alone. I always had a messenger to show me the way. But the way was a road to where I already was. I could see all the people in the world on the same road as mine. But it was a separate road that led them back to where they were, which was where I was. I could finally see the desperate attempts of humanity to create purpose and meaning in our lives. For it was on this road that I saw the beginning, the end, and the present, all rolled into one. It was everlasting and eternal stagnation To look into the eyes of another was to see their terror caused by these truths and their useless attempts to deny it. I am sure this same terror could be seen in my eyes. The messenger was simply there to act as a voice of reason in a reality that had none. The messenger posed questions that caused me to ask myself what I shall make my purpose and what I shall find meaning in. For it is absolutely necessary to find a purpose and to find meaning. To refuse is to give up living. For our daily lives are simply our attempts at a purpose and meaning. The purpose and meaning is totally up to each individual to create for themselves. I remember hearing the treacherous cries of agony from those around me and the voices of widespread confusion. I remember wishing I had never seen the truth, proving once and for all that ignorance is in fact bliss. It was sad thing to see. The most important question was, “will I be able to see this truth forever more?” The hope was that I would not. It is almost impossible to bear. To know that life is in itself meaningless, takes all the hope out of you. Hope is by far what drives all humanity. Hope for more distraction from the truth. All that we attempt in life is simply an attempt to hide the painful truth that we all feel underneath. Even if you have never had a moment of clarity that allowed the truth to be seen, it most definitely can be felt by either our conscious or unconscious mind. Otherwise, why would we attempt anything. For in the end, we all become nothing and what we have done in this world will become of no use to us. Thus all we do is in vain. All the actions that we take are sweet distractions from the truth. One thing that I learned from my journey was that I am the master of my life since I give my life purpose and meaning. I alone must choose everyday, to distract myself and try to forget (as often as I could) that the truth is there.
