After reading some other posts, I got kind of interested in your opinions about free will. Are we "condemned to be free," as Sartre puts it, because believing otherwise evades our responsibility and renders our life unauthentic, or...I haven't gotten far enough in the Treatise to really get an idea of Hume's determinism you were talking about, but after reading Notes From Underground I can get an idea of what it is about. Some supporting arguments would be cool. From one hand I could see how people could reduce everything we do to a bunch of stimuli interpreted in our brain, but that doesn't put very much esteem into living, does it?
P.S. This has nothing to do with an esssay.
