: : I am currently constructing a thesis on Jacques Derrida, the end of history, and the chance of a quasi-metaphysical post-postmodernity to come; basic argument being, that if our self-creations and human solidarities were consciously constructed within a differential matrix rather than a metaphysical one, such constructions would be always temporary, fluid and subject to constant re-evaluation, as we negotiate our inheritance in the moment of decision. This does not deny the necessity of the metaphysical gesture, but re-locates its condition of possibility and impossiblity in difference. Would be interested in any comments - positive or negative - on the viability of this project. :
