Bacon never said that he wanted to "rack nature."
Leibnitz said it and attributed it to Bacon.
Several authors have been so upset about this
injustice to Bacon that they have published books to refute it. One is by Nieves Matthews published by Yale University Press and another is Peter Pesic whose book is published by MIT Press.
