: John Edwards voted NO on Senate bill# S 3: banning partial birth abortions even though there was a provision within it allowing this in cases where a womans life was in danger.
: Kerry also voted NO.

If Kerry and Edwards voted No on banning partial birth abortions, then why so, when the American Medical As s ociation states:
"Except in extraordinary circu m stances, maternal health factors which demand termination of the pregnancy can be accomodated without sacrifice of the fetus and the near certainty of the independent viability of the fetus argues for ending the pregnancy by appropriate delivery"
http://www.ama-as sn.org/apps/pf_new/pf_online?f_n=browse&doc=policyfiles/HnE/H-5.982.HTM
Or just go to the AMA website and enter Partial birth abortion on their search bar. Then click on the second one down that comes up from their search: Policy Finder
So there really isn't any need for Partial Birth Abortions.
Looks like Kerry and Edwards aren't going to deviate from their pro-abortion stance no matter what.
