This may be a really dumb question, but I'm 1/5 through the book and keep wondering when it's set. I am admittedly not a Clancy expert. There are references to cocaine becoming big in the future and Viet Cong POW camps, so it seems to be during the late 60s/early 70s. But that fact is never really stated, so it seems that I'm supposed to know the background of the Mr. Clark character when starting the book. Thanks for your help!
