I did a search in the search engines on "professional lawyer forums" and I found your web blog. I am a Lawyer in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and thus my interest in searching for a lawyer forum on the WWW looking to see how the rest of the world thinks about lawyers and see what trends and technology are happening in the world. I also was interested in a forum for my law firm, that is if I can understand the technology of operating a blog and from what I see I am somewhat hesitant at the present time.
The point on the benefits of forums over a basic website is practical but is it legally acceptable. We were discussing whether peoples comments are legal binding to non computer setting laws. In general is forum text (comments) legally binding and unaccountable/accountable, in that what section of the criminal code and by what geographical location is the law accountable too and why?
I will be back later to read your reply.
Respectfully yours
B. J. Stephens, LL.B. A Halifax Lawyer
