I recently installed a 1974 1800 mgb rebuilt engine in my restored 1977 mgb. The engine runs beautifully and has conformed to California Emissions Standards. The former owner told me that this engine always has met California standards. My question is , "will the Bureau of Auto Repair allow me to do this or do I have to have the engine conform to the 1977 emissions standands. If any you can help on this I would be very appreciative. Thankyou, Jim
