: How many ships (from both sides) fought in the American Revolution??
Katie,
many ships fought in the American Revolution. The most important include the USS Bonhomme Richard, USS Alliance, and the HMS Serapis. I have found it somewhat difficult to find information on the Battle off Flamborough Head, in which all of these ships fought...but if you look online, maybe even on www.navy.mil, you might be able to get some good info.
