Rekindled Flames
There are some things in life
Which cannot be explained
Pain hurt disappointment
Like the flicker of the flame
They burn your soul
Sickening your heart
Consuming you.
But when the flame dies out
And all that is left is the smell of burnt wax
The pain is forgotten
It's replaced with love.
Still like the flame
So easy to rekindle#
All it takes is a memory
For the pain to hit again
The antidote is time.
