I have just completed Forgiveness of Sin, a 71,000-word mainstream fiction that I would like you to consider for representation.
Sue Ellen wiped the fog from the windshield with her forearm.
"I can't read the signs, honey."
"Try, " Timothy said.
Signs ruffled in the wind and there were trees bent over and palm fronds and yard trash floating down the road in front of them. They could barely see the road, much less the name of the street where they were supposed to turn.
Forgiveness of Sin is the story of a young couple in a poor Southwest Florida fishing community in the late 1950s. It begins as Timothy and Sue Ellen are leaving their homes to begin their lives together, away from the horror of Sue Ellen’s alcoholic and ually abusive stepfather. It is about Sue Ellen’s struggle to overcome her hate and forgive her stepfather for what he has done; and it ends when an attempted reconciliation leads to violence at sea and the matter is resolved, once and for all.
My fiction credits include Seags, also a mainstream fiction, published in traditional hard-cover format in 1996, by E.M. Press, Manas, VA; and, more recently, my first attempt at a suspense thriller, The Lady of the House, published last year in ebook and print-on-demand formats, by Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, College Station, TX.
I am presently working on another novel, which I hope to complete by the end of the summer.
