: I have an old poetry book "Grays Poems" handed down through our family and think I am related in some way to Thomas Gray. The book appears to have been printed in London in 1777 and makes mention of Gray's family in India.
:
: My great-great-grandmother was Caroline Birch Gray whom married John Davison Smith in 1824 (Probably in India) and died at Lindenow in Australia in 1879.
: If anybody knows how I can find out more about Thomas Gray's family, could they please let me know.
: Thanks,
: Terry.
I was as reading a review of a Thomas Gray biography at the weekend in a newspaper. I noticed at one pint there ws a reference to India. Will try to find this if the newspaper hasn't gone already!
