: My Essay on W. W. Jacobs
: Throughout the years many famous writers have come and gone such as Irene Hunt for Across Five Aprils, Mark Twain for The adventures of Tom Sawyer, and J. R. R. Tolkien for his magnificent tale of The Lord of the Rings. All of these writers wrote clic novels read in clrooms still today, but, what about writers of somewhat smaller tales and maybe even a few plays such as William Wymark Jacobs, or W. W. Jacobs for short.
: W. W. Jacobs lived to be 80 years old; he was born in London, England on September 8th 1863 on the famous Thames River and ped away in September 1, 1943. He lived by the river where his father managed the docks. His chilled hood influenced his writings due to the fact most of his short stories and plays where about sailors. Jacobs wrote 14 books in total, which included most of his short stories and plays.
: Jacobs wrote pieces that tended to do with horror such as his most famous, The Monkeys Paw and comical sea stories. Somewhat less famous are his short 1-act comedies such as Establishing Relationships, The Warming Plan, A Distant Relations, and Dixon’s Return. Abraham Lincoln was in office the year Jacobs was born and ped away while Franklin Delano Roosevelt was in office. W. W. Jacobs also lived through many major events that probably influenced his writing such as the living through World War 1 and most of World War 2 dieing just 2 years before the end of the war. Yet another thing that influenced Jacobs writings where walking tours on the seacoast with Will Owens, who was his illustrator. Also Jacobs wrote during the American Literary movement period of Realism.
: now this isnt all of it because I acsidentaly deleted some but this has most of the facts I can find hope it hels later
