: I know very well the episode you are talking about, and I believe it was created by the writers of the television show. I currently have a book based on the television show, describing all the monsters to appear in the show, and their origins in myths and folklaw. This book makes no reference to any previous tale, so I'm sorry to tell you that I don't think it exists. I also have here the poem read in the episode, I hope it helps.
:
: "Can't even shout, can't even cry,
: The Gentlemen are coming by.
: Looking in windows, knocking on doors,
: They need to take seven and they might take yours.
: Can't shout to Mom, can't say a word,
: You're gonna die screaming and you won't be heard."
Ok, I am dumb, but I think the story is from some german scholors. Also, the story is about these demons who dress up as gentlemen. They steal the people of the towns' voices. They come at night to take peoples' hearts (they need seven to do something) but, then the princess screamed and their heads exploded or something. lol
