John R. Pence artwork-Anybody heard of him?
kurt
I have a piece of artwork by a John R. Pence that is either a print or painting of a scene involving
a medieval feast with
a King, Queen, a lounging jester playing a lute, and Afghan hounds. Surrounding this artwork is
some sort of brown
lacquer, framing the scene. I can't find any artist by this name, and have already consulted the
John Pence gallery in
San Fran to no avail.
Does anybody know this artist's work or should I treat this as an folk artist?
