J. C. Kugler was born in Dortmund, Germany. His father and grandfather were established artists who were involved with much of the restoration of the art on the walls and ceilings of cathedrals in Germany after World War II The environment around J.C. was a major influence and he began painting at an early age, He earned his first award in high school and attended Stephen F. Austin State University
The innovative and creative vision of Kugler is expressed through his paintings Kugler believes in creating images that portray deep sensitivity by using esthetic combinations of color. Even though the compositions has a soft peaceful presence, there is a feel of boldness and action Kugler's paintings allow each viewer to interpret his work in a totally different way.
Kugler's work has met with enthusiastic acceptance in the art world, Even though he deals with the elements of illusionism and abstract expressionism it combines into a fresh and contemporary work of art,
His recent works display optical i1lusions together with realistic scenes. They present an exciting universe with environmental elements
Kugler's work is featured in many private and corporate collections including Compac Computer, IBM, Motorola, and General Electric Corp.
: Does anybody know anything about a painter called Josef Kugler? He was born in Austria in the 1930s. I have one of his paintings called "Forest". I am trying to get more information on this painting.
