I'm attempting to analize the poem "Under Ben Bulben" by W.B. Yeats. I understand this was very nearly the last poem ever written by him (if not THE last poem) and much of it is about death, immortality and reincarnation, possibly due to his knowledge of Hinduism. But when it comes to understanding the references to "Mareotic Lake" and the "Witch of Atlas" I am unable to find any information. Also, why the constant reference to horseman? The only thing I can come up with is the Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse.
