NWS got it right! Cape lookout has been reporting 14-18kts (16-21mph) and the spotty rain ended this morning. This would have been 6.8/130ltr for me.
However, Radio Island is not recommended for solo sailing.
'til next time
The current weather pattern is supposed to change by Sunday. Perhaps this will apply to the wind as well :)
