Looking for the value of Grapes of Wrath that was published in 1939 by P. F. Collier and Sons. It appears to be a first addition. It is in fair condition. There is no dust jacket. The cover shows wear on the corners. The spine is in good condition. The cover is brown with a blue illustration. The pages and edges are yellowed. There is a small faded ink spot (about the size of a match head) on the front edge.
Also, Cannery Row, 1945, Viking Press, with the dust cover. The book is in fair condition. The dust cover is torn. Spine in fair condition. To Edna is written on the inside.
Also, two copies of The Moon is Down, 1942, The Haddon Craftsmen and 1943 by Sun Dial Press.. The first is in fair condition, but a page was torn out of the front. The front cover and front side pages are stained. The spine is pulling away where the page was torn out. The second is in poor condition, but it was made after the movie and has scenes from the movie in it. The pages are yellowed and there are a few stains and I found one tear. The spine is stable, but the cover is pulling loose. This was a library copy from Central High School Library in Texas City, Texas and still has the library pocket and cards in it dating from 11/13/45 until 10/18/48.
I would appreciate any information about these.
