Sue Barton was a series of books that followed Sue and her friends from their entry into nursing school through Sue's marriage and motherhood. The series was written from 1936-1952. It was published originally in hardcover, but occasionally you can find a paperback edition of one of the books. The author was indeed Helen Dore Boylston.
