A good way to value the books you have found is to look them up on abebooks.com or bookfinder.com. For example, abe lists 21 copies of Wiggin's The Birds Christmas Carol ranging in price from $95 to $8.50. (You can have the list printed out by price) If you review these you can identify copies in the same condition as yours and establish a value accordingly. Of course, these are current internet prices and you might not bring as much on an auction site such as e-bay. Certainly, a bookstore would offer only a fraction of the amount.
