iluvatar was, before anything else so I think iluvatar had not an opposite figure. he was the god as well as the devil as everything was first conceived in him before the valar themselves.
iluvatar was clear in his speech where he made melkor understand that even his rebel-act was part of eru deepest thoughts.it's iluvatar himself that strikes the resonant chord.there could have been a misunderstanding while traducing ancient celtic language...it could be something decided by the producer of the book just to make it sound better
