Hi, I am also doing a paper regarding this story and i have come across with the conflict that the women have in in his works (steinbeck's) they all seen to experience some type of revelation regarding their womanhood but they are not quite sure what to make of it, so they just revert back to the preestablished mold that was placed by the society of each relative time frame, of each story.
I woner what infomation you have received so far?
