: I am no Shakespeare scholar, but, like most of us who been to school, I have studied me some Shakespeare.
: I am writing to ask if anyone may be so kind as to give me a lead on a Shakespeare "theme" I would like to pursue. In my , I have been studying the politial turmoil that unfolded in Miami in the wake of Elian Gonzalez raid. Write now I am focusing on the impact it has had on local politics in Miami. What I am requesting, is any information as to what works of Shakespeare would be in by best interests to study as examples of his treatment of political loyalties, "national loyalties" as the concept existed in his time, and how people from opposing camps must stay true to their convictions while avoiding the pitfalls of rigid devotion to dogma or ideology. Words like "honerable men" from Julius Caesar come to mind. I'm curious if anyone else who has followed the Elian case was reminded of anything from Shakespeare. I'm sorry if my question is too vague unclear. But any recomendatins on a play or even poem I should read that might give me an idea of how Shakespeare handled these or similar subjects would be greatly appreciated.
: Thank you,
: Kevin.
