Hello from Norway!
Without a trace of modesty I ask you to take a look at
"Illustrated sail & Rig tuning" - a new book that will give you a much better understanding of how to tune sails and rig due to its systematic structure and thoroughly illustrated topics.
The book has become a great success worldwide and is now available in english, german, swedish, danish and Norwegian.
------------------------------------------------------
Extract from Boating New Zealand January 1999:
"It's done well and works well, and manages to cover
a surprising amount in a fairly small book. Although he
starts with the basics, the book would still have appeal for experienced sailors .
... My personal recommendation would be that it is a great
book for intermediate sailors."
-------------------------------------------------------
From Sailing Today (UK) July 1999
"But this book is different. It's stuffed with over 150 clear colour illustrations, and informative captions and explanations. Genoa and mainsail trim, trimming spinnakers and rig tuning are covered in in three separate sections.
I recommend this little book to everyone - wether expert or novice you'll find something. You may even, like me, be filled with a desire to have a go at tuning
your rigging and get it to do more than just keep the mast up."

And from Good Old Boat Magazine, Minnesota USA, March/Apr. 99:
"First on our bookshelf, since it's the best we've seen.
.... a compact, concise reference on how to trim your sails
and adjust your standing rigging. The best we've seen!"
