I was searching the net for comedic acts, came onto a booking agency with Al Franken's (very out of date) resume' citing his authorship of "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" and then the following news story: HUMORLESS AL
SOMEBODY give Al Franken a - please. The former "Saturday Night Live" writer - who bombed on the big screen with "Stuart Saves His Family" (1995) and on the small screen with "Lateline" (1998) - kept occupied for the past eight years as a lackey for the Clintons, writing gags for the president and emceeing fundraisers. But now with Dubya in the White House, Franken has too much time on his hands, so he has launched a campaign against the anchors on Fox News. Franken has nit-picked Bill O'Reilly - whose "Inside Edition" won a Polk Award, rather than a Peabody, as O'Reilly had claimed - and Fred Barnes for allegedly stealing the crack that Bush's honeymoon "would be shorter than Darva Conger's." The bitter Franken, who went to Harvard just like Al Gore, needs to get a life.
