Jesus said, "Blessed are the poor in spirit."
But, if I boast in God all the day long(Ps 44:8- "In God we boast all the day long"), could it be possible for people to regard me as inappropriately rich in spirit? If ever I have found myself swinging the sword at false dogma(not against people- "we wrestle not against flesh and blood") with incredible zeal and joy, does that mean I am no longer meek?
Jesus had the audacity to chase merchants from church WITH A WHIP! Such arrogance?
His parents searched for Jesus for three days, but he wasn't lost. When they found him, his mother asked the boy Jesus where he had been, he shot back, "Wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" Sounds inappropriately arrogant if your boy said that to you, huh? But that's what true faith in God does to us. It makes us appear arrogant.
The apostles of Jesus say we're supposed to emulate the faith of Jesus... that we're supposed to "walk even as he walked." So, how does it sound when I say, "I and my Father are One"(like Joh 17 says we should say)? Does that sound profoundly haughty to you? How about- "If ye have seen me, ye have seen Christ and God"? What if I say, as Jesus said, "if you ignore what I say, you ignore what God says". Such arrogance?
1Jo 2:20 says, "But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things." Do you "Christians" believe that or not? No? Then you deny the Bible and call Christ himself a liar. If I say "I believe I know, understand, and can prove all things", I am not tested; but rather judged as hopelessly insane for myself.
I honestly believe I am "born again." What does that mean? 1Jo 3:9 says, "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." Does that describe your faith? Well, it describes mine! But rather than consider my testimony, the "Christians" call me "liar"; "arrogant".
Truth has a nature that is contrary to normal, natural humans. When a human is hot with truth, he appears arrogant and is hated by natural man. If you are not despised by natural man, you are NOT "in the faith"... "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates(deable)?"(2Co 13:5)
You know, a person can't test the Bible without believing it. In the context of eternity, what have we got to lose by believing it? There's so much to gain. "In God we boast all the day long"(Ps 44:8)
And don't go through life luke warm- "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.(Re 3:16)
