book 6 and book 12 as the end

book 6 and book 12 of the aeneid can be seen as culminating
books for the first half and the second half of the work,
respecitively. knowing this, is there any particular
connection between the two books? i find it especially
ironic how book 6 details anchises' version of the perfect
(hence, the ideal) leader/hero, yet his son, in book 12,
does not follow these *ten commandments* and goes his
own way, rightly or wrongly, im not sure. comments?
