: since you say that only failures would consider Turnus a hero, does that mean that you agree with the majority of people in that Aeneas is the hero and does an extremely good of it? what about what is a hero? what qualities make a hero?In book one, we see Aeneas, just after the storm or even during it and he acts like he's already been defeated - how he wishes he had died in Troy. Then in book 2 we see Aeneas as the pious one taking his father and his son away from Troy. the point i am trying to make is why do we see a weak aeneas - this is the first we se of him?
