: I am looking for a source with Plato discussing Law or the Nature of Justice even the institutions of society if anyone has an idea that would be good-- a book, essay, maybe even a magazine article
If you are looking for Plato's take on societal institutions, you could not do better than reading his 'Republic'. In it he deals with his notion of a perfect society, built on the 'Noble Lie', or 'Myth of Metals'. He also, in Book IX (Steph 543-594) details each type of imperfect society and the characteristics of each type of citizen you would expect to find.
