You can get to membrane theory easy. Imagine a point, space is a disc, time the vertical axis. Big bang, and space expands downwards from beneath the point, forming a cone like a wizard's hat (old hat theory). What happened before the BB? Obvious; Another cone converging down to the point. Looks ugly, so join the cones to form a toroid of (nearly) zero inside diameter. To meter the progress of a particular disc of universe, you need a third dimension (space is only one, with three constituent factors), which I named Fudd in 1989 (Elmer Fudd!)in the paper I sent to Steve Hawking (no response, cos I'm not an academic with a name).
So, these discs of universe are emmitted and recycled constantly. As each can have no communication between the other, they must have a discreet separation in their time of emission. Also, the function of the speed of light must be to prevent energy/matter reaching the edge of the universe, whether it be immediately before or after the big bang/crunch. Therefore, c depends on the Fudd value. Also, time can be + or -, varying sinusoidally-ish above and below the point source if plotted against Fudd.
Naturally, these discs of universe (spheres in reality) are so close, they could be seen as membranes.
Simple. Does Steve Hawking's secretary keep all crackpot theories received? Mine's under A.C.Johnson.
Loadsa love everybody!
