: : : : : Raphael,

: : : : : I would really like to know the source for the quote that you left by Josephus concerning James and Peter. As far as I have found, Josephus did not mention Christianity nor Christians other than a ping reference to the crucifiction of Jesus. Could you tell me the exact page in the Histories from which that quote came? I would like to have it for my own reference.

: : : : : Zeus

: : : : Dear Mitch,

: : : : Nobody deleted any posts of yours -- though I did notice that when this board was replaced, the most recent posts (within a few hours of the switch) were not carried forward on the subject page.

: : : : As for the Josephus quote (concerning James, the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ), it is exactly as I printed here and referenced. Perhaps it is good for you to realize that you do not know everything, and to do a little searching of your own. If you seach in the right place, you will find the Truth.

: : : : Raphael

: : : Raphael,

: : : I left another post towards the top that was deleted by someone because the other one was quickly falling to the bottom. It is th second one that was gone.

: : : As to the Josephus quote, you left the secondary source not the primary, so I had nothing to go on from your post. I am not claiming that I know everything. I am saying, in fact, that if there is such a reference in Josephus, that I do not know nothing about it, and I have been scanning back through the Histories to find it to no avail. So, I am aking for the refernece so that I may know of it.

: : : So, I take it either the reference does not exist, or you are just being stubborn and the "know it all" that you are accussing me of. Either way, I don't think there is much more to say on this matter. I will just take you post concerning Josephus to be false.

: : : Thanks,

: : : Zeus

: : Dear Mitch,

: : Here's some of your own medicine: I don't believe you; either you produce proof of deleted posts, or I will just take your post concerning deleted posts to be false.

: : You didn't need to tell me that you "don't know everything"; you already have proven that many times before.

: : I am sorry that you so easily have given up your search for the Truth. He is worth every effort.

: : Raphael

: Raphael,

: I don't like you. That much is very evident by now. Nevertheless, if there actually is a page in Josephus saying what you says that it says, then I would like to know where it is. I own all of the volumes of the Histories and I spent several hours looking for the page that you gave. To the best of my knowledge and searching, the page does not exist.

: You seem to like talking about and believing in things that do not exist. It is you that do not know everything, and this is more and more evident every time one calls you to task. You simply do not have an honest bone in your body, and you are simply spiteful and hateful to anyone who does not see things your way. If that is what being a Christian (your brand) does to you, then I am very fortunate not to be one.

: Either put up the citation or shut up. Not much more to say.

: Zeus

Dear Zeus,

The really interesting thing about the Truth is that He is unchanged by whether you like me or not. And, He is unchanged by whether you know Him or not.

And, the fact is that you never will know Him in your present state of pride. What He withholds from you in knowledge of the Truth utterly overwhelms the trivial shred of truth that I have withheld from you (1) because it is in your own interests to discover for yourself that you are wrong, and (2) because I (albeit perhaps fleshly) don't want to hand it to you.

For an ill-tempered, lying -hard who was caught posing on Bible Chat, and who refused my invitation to the Princeton Club of New York to prove false your unfounded accusations against me, you certainly have no room to call anyone dishonest, spiteful, or cowardly.

You may cut off your nose to spite your face all that you want. Your rejection of Christ, and your attacks against the Kingdom of God, do not diminish God in the least; and, for eternity, you harm essentially only yourself, and possibly your wife and children.

What a tragic figure you are. "Zeus" indeed!

Raphael
