After all, if words were absolutely meaningless Nietzsche and I would be hypocrites for using them. Metaphors for metaphors for metaphors are not that objectionable when you realize that these are all that exist. This view of language isn't just nihilism and it isn't JUST philosophizing with a hammer, it is also a revaluation and a making use of what is left once the hammer has done its work. It is creation, it is art, it is wisdom and love of wisdom. It has been said that wisdom puts bounds even on knowledge, I have just tried to make that boundary a bit clearer by showing knowledge, language and words as matter for play, as was Nietzsche's attitude towards that which is traditionally taken seriously (that is, solemnly...the theological nature of language and truth cannot be stressed enough, let us use what theology has built for our own purposes without buying into that theology).
