In my opinion, The Call of the Wild was a very good book to read. When I first started reading the book, I thought it was boring, but as I kept on reading, it became more interesting in each chapter. I also wanted to finish reading the book because I wanted to see what happened to Buck and the other dogs that were kidnapped. I wanted to know if they all survived the terrible beatings they went through. I also thought that the way Perrault and Francois treated the dogs was terrible. When Buck and his friends got traded off to a new master, he was still beaten. I just did not like this part of the book. After Buck got all of his strength back he was able to help his master, Mr. Thorton pull the sleds through the snow, find gold and help him pay a lot of his bills off. Mr. Thorton treated Buck well. I liked this part of the book. As I followed Buck through his journey into a new way of life, I found that he was a very strong dog because of the way he kept on fighting his way to surviving day after day. In the end, I found that I really enjoyed reading this book. It is a great book for others to read as well.
