Looks like eyou have a solid chance to me.
: Hi'ya...
: Alrighty...For years and years I had been saying "I'm going to UVA (University of ia; I'm in-state), I'm going to UVA!" but now I'm reconsidering. Honestly, I don't want to be in their ninetieth percentile; I just want to go to a school where I can be *average* and *fit in*. Princeton may be the place, but do I have a chance??
: Here's me: This year (my Junior year such far) I have straight-A's, and a weighted 4.45 GPA (I take 4 AP cles and one Honors cl). Although I've gotten a lot of B+'s in previous years, my final grade in every cl but one was always an A (my exception? Algebra I, which I took in the seventh grade). In all four AP cles (Biology, Calculus, Latin IV, and History), I took the AP tests, and I'm darned sure I got at least a 4 on each of 'em. Next year, I'm taking five AP cles. I'm ranked 2nd in my cl of 656, but I believe my school's grouping everyone with the same non-weighted GPA into the same ranking (my real ranking might be 4th or 5th, but probably no lower).
: My SAT scores are a 710 for the Math, and a 770 for the Verbal. I'm taking my SAT IIs later (Math IIC, Writing, and Latin).
: Um...I'm in Arabic club (the only non-Arabic member!), Senior Math League, Math Honors Society, and Latin Club right now...I was in a few other minor clubs in past years.
: I'm planning on doing somewhere between 100 and 120 hours of volunteer work at a nursing home this summer to make up for not doing any before. So far, I've only done 8 1/2 hours (all in the past week!). I may also be working on the local PTA's webpage if they call me back. I have no work experience.
: How good are my chances, really? This whole thing scares me very much; my stuff looks good, but ALL Princeton's applicants' stuff looks good!
: Ugh! Help!
