How do you think these two gentlemen compared in displaying the political, philosophical, religious, everything atmosphere, cirstance of their times?
They both are well known for it. Dante was a bit earlier and knew petrarch's father I think, and so he was probably heavily influenced. then again, only maybe in writing in Italian.
