Van Sertima says he uses these as references:
"The life of Admiral Christopher Columbus" by Fernando Columbus
translated by Benjamin Keen.
"The Journal of The Second Voyage" by Columbus himslef.
"Masalik" by Al-Umari,written in the 14th century,it deals with the
expeditions of the Mandingo people across the Atlantic from west
Africa.
