I am not writing because I have a paper due, but I am interested in people's take on Fire and Ice. I have heard that it represents religion and science. Fire is religion because in the Book of Revelations, it says that the world will end in one big fiery swoop. Ice is science because nihilistic scientists during that time were saying that the world will end by a grand freeze. I want to know what other opinions concerning this poem. (If, that is, there is anyone out there.)
