My mom has a chow dog, and she recently found out that her dog has the red mange. The dog (Jaime) got it from another dog that stayed with my mom for a week. Is the red mange curable? Can anyone recommend a course of treatment that is not too expensive. Unfortunately, my mom does not have the funds available to take jaime to a vet for conventional treatment. We also heard that you can use sulfur to help this problem, but how much do you use or give to the dog? And if you happen to use sulfate (by accident) instead of sulfur, can that be deadly or dangerous? Please help us, my mom would be devastated if she lost her dog.
