Hi Alan:
>>...so no matter how much postulating one does, you ultimately come back to faith - or wishful thinking.<<
I can't agree again. There is too much evidence for evolution, both fossil and genetic, to leave any doubt. Faith doesn't come into it.
>>We are not really in any position to define how intelligent design should perform...<<
No matter how you look at it, the fact is that most species have become extinct. No intelligent designer would be so wasteful.
>>...because we do not know what the ultimate aim of the Creator is.<<
There is no evidence that such a being exists, let alone has an 'aim'.
>>Indeed the Christian Gospel story shows how death can ultimately bring about eternal salvation.<<
NOW you are talking about faith! :-)
>>Have you ever wondered how something too small for us to see, containing all the information needed to build a human body, can have come into existance without any intelligent intervention?<<
Yes, and the theory of evolution explains it perfectly satisfactorily.
< It's no use, Alan, We shall never agree about this. I gave up my dream of everlasting life when I opted out of Christianity. You will never be able to do the same, no matter how much evidence is put before you. But as long as you are happy - no harm is done.
