Re: Natural Selection Again: Charles Darwin Campfire
If ye would like to moderate the Charles Darwin Campfire, please drop becket@jollyroger.com a
line. Charles Darwin & Re: Natural Selection Again
: The statements in my April 24 posting were conclusions from a study I had just completed of Darwin's natural selection theory, as presented in Origin. Although I did not state that fact in the April 24 posting (but did in the May 2 one) a perceptive person would have (a) recognized the statements as conclusions,
The statements were ertions, not conclusions. Maybe you should consult a dictionary about what a conclusion is.
(b) realized that I must have worked out a rationale for the statements,
Why should I take that for granted? Do you think this is the first time I've heard a creationist spout off?
and (c) understood the obvious fact that I had omitted that rationale because of space limitations.
I'm not here to provide excuses for your failures.
Your comments, however, presume that you know what reasoning/evidence I would use to support the statements; what a preposterous umption on your part!
I don't presume anything. I based my statements entirely on what you said.
As if you are a mind reader.
Ibid.
: Granted that the statements are somewhat ambiguous because the rationale behind them has not been presented.
I will grant you nothing.
Yet you have refused to recognize this truism,
Especially not a truism.
and have offered knee-jerk comments that evince little understanding of the statements--or of Origin, for that matter: evidently you are trapped in conventional thinking about Darwin's theory.
You present ertions with no supporting evidence and then claim that what I've said are knee-jerk comments! Give me a break.
And if that's not enough, you are insulting and lacking in civility. This exchange has gone nowhere (it hasn't evolved!), therefore I will make no further comments to you.
If you don't want to leave in a huff, you can leave in a minute and a huff. The fact is that you don't want to support your statements because you can't. Suit yourself, creationist.
