: My wife was attacked with a tire iron by what used to be a friend without any provocation other than a simple misunderstanding. : My wife called 911 before the beating began and was actually detailing the crime as it was occuring and pleading with the operator for istance. : The attacker has an uncle with the police department and was not arrested that night even though her statement also said that my wife never hit her or even hit back to defend herself. I even called the chief of police about the injustice and he said the police had sent the case to the district attorney. : Come to find out the police were seeking charges for my wife also for disorderly conduct and simple ault even though my wife never hit back and was shouting hence the disorderly conduct because she was being hit with a tire iron more than 10 times. : I am glad the district attorney weighs the evidence and dismissed those charges but now after seeing this CORRUPTION in the police department I don't want to call the police anymore. : In addition, the police took 2 statements I made about my wife out of context and reported them in the worst light possible and they called my wife and threatened her with more charges because they believed she had called child safety on the attacker which she had not. : Please tell me your thoughts on this situation and possible recourses.
