: I am not an atty. but I am involved in law suits concerning quieting title on tax deeds. The dominant case is Dawson v Saada (608 So. 2d 806 (Fla. 1992)and concerns due process or lack thereof by the clerk of the court who is directed by FS 197 as to whom must be notified. I recently read about a US Supreme Court case which seems to contradict the Dawson case (Mullane v. Central Hanover Bank & Trust Co.,339 U.S. 306 (1950)) I do not know of any case in Fla however where the Mullane argument prevailed over the Dawson case. I was wondering if anyone who monitors this board could shed some light on this for me. I use a number of attorneys in various Fla. counties and not one has ever mentioned Mullane. I hope this is enough info. Thanks!
