I bought a truck imported from Canada. I paid the US dealer and gave the man in Canada a $2000.00 check (that is how much we were lacking on the loan). The man in Canada lied about the condition of the truck. We put on new hubs, new brakes, new front axle, new rear seal, and so on. We were w/o the truck for 2 weeks which put our business at a stand still for 2 weeks. The US dealer paid the bill and the Canada man paid them back finally. Now we are having transmission trouble. The Canada man said the transmission was new when we bought it, but has so far failed to produce the doentation. We will be out a truck again if the transmission goes out which will also affect our business. We want to cancel our check to the man in Canada for lost time and wrong mileage (the truck had 18000 miles more on it than he stated for the bank which drops the value over $1000). Please advise if it would be to cancel the check or if hewould have any recourse. Thank You, Amy
