Some of the Cargills were in the 3rd KY Regiment from Graves County. Since Graves County was such a "hotbed" during the Union occupation, there was much going on. I know James Rodgers Cargill was strung up by the Union Guerillas and his son, William Pryor was shot, Daniel's brother, but I am trying to find out about a Daniel Franklin Cargill, his oldest son who it seems did not enlist? It seems he and his wife, Mary Ann Goad both died the same year about 1865. They were very young and left 5 children. Since so many citizens of Graves County were victimized by the Union Guerillas I am wondering about them. I am specifically trying to find the dates they died, i.e. if they died the same day then I would wonder how they died. If anyone has any Cargill information, I would certainly like to hear about it.
